In the first film, Jayaprabhu turns ‘Vijayaprabhu’ ! The scale of the scaring is so good in the film. The second half is a taut thriller and unexpectedly arrives on screen and silences the audience in the theatre. Had the more grip added to the first half, this film ‘Scary Forest’ would have been a stiff competitor.

The background score, songs and cinematography of this film are in top gear. This is a watch for the family. There is no ugly incident and the ghost fitted in a very peculiar spot is the suspense part of the film.

Four friends (Jayaprabhu, Jeeth, Tina, Kalpana and Amreen) reach a forest area for a purpose. One among them Pihoo (Tina Ponnappa) is mad about studying plants. In the first half, all spend some good time but a rare incident shocks everyone. All of them contact Mangal when they find it strange. Soon Pihoo goes missing. That is because a particular development took place in which all four. The reason for Pihoo missing is also another ghost around.

However, the ghost with high strength was revealed via a plant. What is that? You have to watch it on the silver screen.

Jayaprabhu looks handsome and he is at ease. Baby Pooja attracts the strength attached to the role. Tina Ponnappa, Kalpana and Reem Sen are adequate. Yashpal is attractive whenever he comes on the silver screen.

There are three melodious tunes and the background locations for them are good to the vision. Cinematographer gets full marks for his ability to capture the dense forest and interiors.

‘Scary Forest’ makes you wait for some time and then really scares you.
